Reveal’s Enchanting Location
Situated on Ivydene’s premises and part of its guest house, Reveal also services the public with the convenience and pleasure of beauty and body and de-stressing treatments.
The Enchanting past of Ivydene unfolds….
Ivydene’s history includes being part of the first few homesteads in Rondebosch, being the first premises for Rondebosch Boy’s Boarding School, a home for the Elderly, a long- term rental establishment and currently a successful Self- catering Guest House with a Beauty Bar and Boutique.
The property now known as “Ivydene” is the last unspoilt example of an old Rondebosch farm building. It is one of a group of old houses in the neighbourhood but is distinguished by its lack of disfiguring modernization and still retains an aura of a more spacious, rural way of life. Iyvdene remains the largest intact piece of property in the area and an ideal focus for research of this historical locality.
